Hi,

I haven’t used JMSQueueAppender, and I’m not aware of it’s usage patttern. If the log statement is translated into a text string (based on it’s pattern layout format) before it is sent into the JMS Queue, then obviously this would work. However, if the Log Event is first serialized and put into the JMS Queue (which it’s source code suggests: http://kickjava.com/src/JMSQueueAppender.java.htm ), and at the processing end of the queue the message is transformed into a Message string (based on some pattern layout), then the Threadlocal information (NDC or MDC) will not be available…

Hi Mano,

The very best book to get for scwcd is “Head First Java Servlets and JSP”. Read it, understand it, try to build some examples, and you will pass the exam. Get some real experience to get a better understanding of the technology at hand.

Further on, you could check out javaranch. I’m afraid I don’t have any ‘dumps’ available…
